As an opportunist Zionist and violent imperialist craving to subjugate the Iraqis to his monovision of the world, Powell did not learn anything significant about the struggle against slavery, colonialism, and imperialism.
This is what I have been waiting for. Powell and that now even more powerful " awful bitch" are a complete disgrace. What I have long since recognized is that people of color in this country often enough seem to forget where they, as part of a historically oppressed group, come from. Once they join the ranks of the upper or upper middle classes (Oprah being another prime example in my view) they become Cosbyites (coined in honor (sic) of Bill Cosby). All of a sudden they discover the rhetoric of individuality and personal responsibility. Except that rather than pointing at those of the Class they have joined, who tellingly do not apply the edifying wonders of personal responsibility on themselves, they instead point the finger at those below them that they have left behind. If I had my druthers , Colin Powell would be tried , along with the rest of the Bush criminal Junta, in The Hague for crimes agaist humanity .
