Tawana Brawley and the American Imperial State

The following is a comment posted to the blog
(www.reinstatealtonmaddox.com) of ALTON H. MADDOX JR. of Tawana Brawley fame. To this day the case is held up in the mainstream press as an audacious hoax by a Black female teen of questionable standing. At his website Mr. Maddox sets the record straight.

For a long time I wondered about the facts surrounding the Brawley case. I was barely out of my teens myself when the case hit the news. It is good to finaly hear the facts from the "horses mouth" himself. One of the things that stands out for me, and perhaps Mr. Maddox will agree, is the symmetry between the Brawley case and the case made by the Bush regime for war without end.

In both cases, unwanted facts are suppressed, people are smeared, official misconduct is endemic and widespread, the Democrats, the supposed defenders of the people, are knee deep in the couldron of lies, innocents are punished while the perps run free and, finally, good old fashioned racism and white supremacy rule the day. While the rest of the world my be shocked and alarmed over the actions of the US post 9-11, Black people were hardly shocked or surprised at all. White folks in this country have been running plays from this playbook for centuries now. It is just that in this post 9-11 dystopia we are living in, this United States of AmeriKKKa have decided to export and expand their M. O. to cover the entire planet and done so, unlike during the wonder years before 9-11, in a no holds barred and explicit manner. Thus, as Ms. Brawley can surely attest to, Abu Ghriab was no abberation, for the White American mindset by and large has always been quite accomadating to this sort of thing (http://www.withoutsanctuary.org/). Fortunately, the Iraqi people and leaders such as Hugo Chavez are saying Ya Basta! to Yankee imperialism and depradations. When will we see the same here?
